Perfluorinated O-ring Selection?
Author:
The development prospect of perfluorinated O-ring industry is very good, because it brings more benefits to enterprises when it is used, so it is favored by customers. In order to make people more familiar with it, understand its daily use, and bring better benefits to enterprises, next we will tell you some knowledge points related to it, hoping to help more people. Make it more profitable.

Perfluorinated O-ring seals are usually extruded seals. The compression ratio and tension of its section diameter are the main contents of seal design, which is of great significance to seal performance and service life. Perfluorinated O-rings are usually installed in sealing slots for sealing. Good sealing effect of O-ring seal depends to a large extent on the correct matching of the size of the O-ring and the size of the groove, so as to form a reasonable amount of compression and stretching of the seal ring. During the design and processing of the sealing device, if the compression amount of perfluorinated O-ring is too small, it will cause leakage; If the compression is too large, the rubber stress of the perfluorinated O-ring seal ring will relax and lead to leakage. Similarly, over-stretching of perfluorinated O-rings during operation can also accelerate aging and cause leaks. When selecting the compression ratio of O-ring, the following three aspects should be considered:
There should be enough sealing contact area, friction should be as small as possible, as far as possible to avoid permanent deformation. From the above factors, it is not difficult to find that they are contradictory. A larger compression ratio can obtain a larger contact pressure, but a higher compression ratio will undoubtedly increase the sliding friction and permanent deformation. If the compression ratio is too small, part of the compression may disappear due to the coaxiality error of the sealing groove and the O-ring error does not meet the requirements, resulting in leakage. Therefore, when choosing the compression ratio of O-ring, various factors must be weighed. Generally, the compression ratio of static seal is greater than that of dynamic seal, but the extreme value should be less than 30%(related to rubber materials), otherwise the compressive stress will be obviously relaxed, causing too much permanent deformation, especially under high temperature conditions.
The selection of perfluorinated O-ring seal compression rate W should consider the service conditions, static seal or dynamic seal; Static seal can be divided into radial seal and axial seal; The leakage clearance of radial seal (or cylindrical static seal) is radial clearance, and the leakage clearance of axial seal (or plane static seal) is axial clearance. The axial seal can be divided into internal pressure and external pressure according to the pressure medium acting on the inner or outer diameter of the O-ring. The internal pressure increases and the external pressure decreases the initial stretch of the perfluorinated O-ring.
Consumers who want to purchase such products should remember to shop around. This is an information age, there is no need to go to the market to work hard around, you can directly search the relevant manufacturers on the Internet.
